for the press
After publication: raising the profile of your book
Our marketing work begins with the publication of a book. Even after publication, we continue to support our authors in raising the profile of their titles and reaching the right readership. This includes targeted requests for reviews, social media activities, promotional materials, and collaboration with the press, bookshops and content creators.
Reviews
Once a book has been published, we approach carefully selected regional, national and international journals, newspapers and specialist editorial teams, inviting them to review the new release. If they are interested, we provide a review copy free of charge.
Our authors can specify their preferred publications in the author questionnaire, to which review copies should be sent. Alternatively, our experienced team can select suitable review outlets. To do so, we draw on an extensive contact database of renowned specialist journals and review outlets from various academic fields.
If an editorial team expresses an interest in a review, we will send the requested review copy free of charge. Furthermore, editorial teams may also contact us directly, even without an invitation, if they wish to review a title. You can contact our press office at presse@reichert-verlag.de.
We generally provide print copies; in exceptional cases, eBooks may also be made available. For promotional and press purposes, we are also happy to supply cover images as high-resolution image files.
As soon as we receive a review, we forward it to the authors without delay and publish relevant excerpts from it on our website.
Social media
We also promote our publishing programme through our digital channels. We are active on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, amongst others, where we showcase new releases, selected titles from our backlist and individual series. Each new release is given its own post. We also use our social media channels to publicise book launches, events, exhibition openings and our participation in trade fairs such as the Frankfurt Book Fair.
On request, we can include links to authors in our posts. We also welcome suggestions, collaborations and creative ideas that can help raise the profile of a title. Interested readers can purchase selected books directly via our shops on Facebook and Instagram.
Content Creators
We are also happy to collaborate with content creators. If you would like to feature books from our catalogue on your platform, we can provide you with review copies on request.
Furthermore, we are happy to assist you in contacting our authors, for example if you are planning an interview or have technical questions about a specific title. We are open to suitable joint initiatives, such as book presentations, prize draws or other campaigns that bring academic content to an interested audience.
Our press officer will be happy to assist you with any enquiries.
Promotional materials
We provide a range of promotional materials for authors, bookshops, event organisers and other interested parties.
Our range includes promotional leaflets for new releases, flyers and postcards for book presentations and events, as well as order forms (digital or printed). For authors who wish to present their titles, for example as part of courses, lectures or conferences, we can also provide suitable extracts from individual chapters by arrangement.
Bookshops are welcome to request our catalogues or download them directly from our website. In addition to a general catalogue that clearly outlines the key areas of our programme, we also offer thematic catalogues covering specific subject areas.
If you are interested, please feel free to contact us by phone or email. We will be happy to assist you in selecting the appropriate materials.
